If you want an easy outdoor walk with amazing ocean views, try the Bluff Top Trail in Dana Point. There’s also a Nature Interpretive Center on the trail where you can learn more about the local plants and animals and how people are working to protect this beautiful coastal area.
Mission San Juan Capistrano: A Step Back in Time
Our last stop is Mission San Juan Capistrano, an old Spanish mission that shows visitors a piece of California’s history. This well-preserved place is one of the most unique places to visit in California for people who love history and beautiful buildings. Built-in 1776, the mission is often called the “Jewel of the Missions” because of its pretty architecture and gardens.

The mission celebrates their return with a big party called St. Joseph’s Day and Return of the Swallows Celebration, one of the most interesting places in California to see this natural event. This celebration happens on March 19th and has traditional music, dancing, and cultural shows.
